Notes: My husband was home when this occured and so the observations are based on his report. He said the event began with thunder, which was followed by intense hail, which pretty much covered the ground, although not to the point that you couldn't see the grass sticking up around the hailstones. When the hail was over, there was more thunder. We don't have a hail pad, so couldn't say whether there would have been dents in it. For my husband's attention to have been grabbed so completely, it had to have been a fairly significant event for Oregon! I was in Tangent at the time and, although it rained intensely several times, I don't recall seeing hail (although it may have been mixed with the rain).
