Notes: I heard loud pounding on the roof and immediately looked outside. It was hail ==and some were rice size and some were 1/2" in size, a mix of both the whole 44 minutes, and white in color the whole time, and approximately equal amounts of both sizes. It was falling at a slight angle from NE, as it went under my awning and fell right next to my house walls. // At 1:01pm it was still heavy falling. It formed a solid pile of about 1/2" tall. // at 1:06pm it slowed down a little. // at 1:12 it was now falling straight down and fewer hail, but still a strong shower of hail, as I looked into the "air". // at 1:20pm some were now melting on the deck.. slight pools of water around the hail, but I could still see the rice size hail bouncing. // at 1:34 pm it stopped. // it would start up again for a light shower of small hail in about an hour, and on and off a couple of times, but very light hail shower with still visible tiny bits of hail (rice size). It was 46 degrees; at 5pm, it looked like specs of white falling in the air, so I picked up a couple to make sure it was solid (hail ball). // No rain that I could see.
