Notes: |
Thunderstorm was very active with lots of lightning so no direct measurement of the hail.
We have never seen hail pile up like in 20yr of living here. Massive amounts pour off the roof. We have leaf guards so the hail did not stop in the gutters.
We had numerous leaf holes after the storm as documented in the photos. The hole sizes ranged from 0.5 to 1.0 inch. This was in 3 types of plants with large leaves: beauty berry bush; dogwood; oak leaf hydrangea. In one case, two holes align vertically in the beauty berry. As verification, the beauty berries are next to the house. The portions under the protection of the eaves do not have holes.
Just for grins before the storm, I had placed a foam insulation board on the ground with the poly facing removed. Several large indentions are present. Some might be pre-existing. |
