Notes: Line of severe thunderstorms passed through area this afternoon ahead of an approaching sfc cold front and upper trough. Hail started 5 min after the rainfall (which was heavy for the first 10 minutes of the event and then tapered off to sprinkles before ending) and continued for 3 min. Hailstones were mainly pea sized with a few larger 3/8" stones. The hail ended at 14.30 EDT and the rainfall by 14.40 EDT.
