Scale Bar: Near Normal
Description:
Praise the Lord on the rainfall the last 4 weeks. Turning the brown dead grass to green. Grasses did come up from the rains but the weeds have taken over from where grass would have grown. There is a lot of pasture in which the grass was burned up from heat and lack of moisture/rainfall. Some ranchers are saying this was the worse and still not out of the drought. There is noxious weeds are covering where the grass is and not good for cattle grazing. This has happened before in the past droughts but it is worse. God covers the ground to keep the moisture in the ground for a reason. Thus my previous reports of the scared bare ground from the burnt land from heat, wind and lack of rainfall. The land is still scared. I selected the "Report Categories" as we are not completely out of this drought. Water supply is still very low at Sumner Lake and irrigation restrictions are still in place. Financially it has impacted our ranchers and county on income for the next several years. This continuation of drought is very hard on ranching. We continue to pray for rain to revive this thirsty land. Amen.
