Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: OK-TL-53
Station Name: Tulsa 1.4 S
Report Date: 9/23/2017
Submitted: 9/23/2017 11:11 AM
Scale Bar: Mildly Dry
Description:
After watering the lawn last weekend the early week brought some nice rain. I left a couple of spots unwatered for comparison. Bermuda and fescue have greened up nicely and crepe myrtles, roses and small ornamentals show no signs of stress. Turf growth pretty normal so mowing requirements have increased from the past few weeks. Tomatoes have some dry curl on some leaves but not bad; fruit looks great. Warm temps well into the evening have inhibited outdoor activities. Soil under mulch and sod cool and palpably damp, irrigated areas only slightly more so than non. Soil is nicely frangible and workable, not dry and hard as before. Could have gone "near normal" but decided on "mildly dry" given the overall situation and time of year. Next week's forecast looks wet to start out so we'll see what develops.
