The leaves are not changing color so much as they are drying out and falling, and a LOT of them are falling now. This may be a result of the strong cold front that passed through just before the remnants of Hurricane Irma came into the area, combined with the absence of precipitation for over a week now. Streams are running a bit lower than last week, and the grass is getting slightly brown and stiff.
