Description:
I missed last weekend reporting. There was a flash flood abt 3-4 miles from us which resulted in the drowning of 10 people in one family. Ages 1-60. The last body was found mid-week several miles downstream. We heard a bear had gotten to the body. At the time of that event we had .88" in about 25 minutes. Flooding didn't affect us. In fact after 5.02" in July we don't have any standing water nor much mud. It was just so dry before the rains. Lots of traffic on the hiways and events that bring people up from the valley. The Highline Fire in June contributed to the flash flood because of the downed trees. We are getting a little rain every day and have gotten over the 30 year average which is 2.64"
