Description:
Air Quality Alerts and a Heat Advisories were in effect from Thursday thru Saturday as temps climbed into the low 90's with very humid conditions. Very dry this past week with only a few spotty showers towards the end of the week. Temps were at or slightly above normal for the week. Soil Temps have climbed with the recent heat and Soil Moisture readings have moderated near the 45 Centibar mark at the 6 inch depth after reaching a high of 48 Centibars, which is moderately dry. Surface soils are hard compact and very dry.
Lawns and some shrubs and trees continue to show browning & other distress from the below normal rainfall for this year...Weeds, other lawn diseases and spider mites are rampant from the wild winter are causing additional problems with lawns and shrubs. Mowing caused a lot of dust to become airborne.

6 in. Depth: Soil Temp 80F...Soil Moisture: 46 Centibars.. 
24 in. Depth: Soil Temp: 76F..Soil Moisture:35 Centibars.. 
36 in. Depth: Soil Temp: 70F..Soil Moisture 24 Centibars.. 

Corn on farms nearby are just nearing 5.5 feet high. Growth is slow.

The Bog Turtles have been scarce this week. 

The creek overall is still below normal level and flow
Ragweed has lessened but Molds are high in this area affecting Allergies and Asthma.
