Heat, humidity, and bright sunshine started the week, which brought heavy rounds of rain midweek.  Overflowing drainage ditches quickly flowed out before the next storm began.  Strong winds blew tall potted plants over.  Tomato plant towers full of leaves and fruit also blew over but were easily straightened up.  More heat and humidity for the 4th but no rain to spoil fireworks after dark.  The lawn needs mowing even though some areas are still damp.  Maybe later today if no new rain falls I’ll have a chance to mow.
