got almost .25" of welcomed rain on Satruday, first measurable precip in almost a month. That small amount was a tonic for everything: the creek got a dropping reprieve, plants wild & domestic perked up, no need to water garden this week at all, piles of redwood duff awaiting burning were damp over a foot down. found the first almost ripe native blackberries (red!) and ate my first thimbleberry.
We are still WAY low on precip however (NOAA/PRISM 30-yr. norms for June are 1.58/1.74". The morning fog layers have been non-existant this week, replaced with just light overcast, which has been keeping high temps in the 60s. Next week may see a Mildly Dry Condition report if the precip totals don't improve.
