Weekly precipitation was 0.11 inches. Lows for the past 7 days:31,28,29,21,14,17,28. Highs:52,42,41,29,24,34,46. The second big cold air plunge of the winter season occurred this past week for our area. It started Tuesday evening with freezing rain showers and sleet. Wednesday morning saw light snow showers before clearing later that day. The Liquid Water Equivalent of this event was just 0.11 inches (all of the reported precipitation for the past week). Cold and dry air has been in place since and some nice drying has occurred on the surface (which is soft and powdery again due to recent freezing). Otherwise, conditions are normal and the temperature is set to approach the February normal today (Sunday February 23) which will be the low 50s.
