Winter maintained its icy grip on our area this past week, which was kind of blah weather-wise. We have had Near Normal conditions this week with 0.14" of precipitation falling as 2.4" snow. We've had a continuous snowpack since 1/2/2025 and this week it ranged from 9.5" to 7.5". Temperatures were for the most part way below seasonal average all week until Friday when it got up to 32F; Tuesday night we got down to 0F. Snow-packed sidewalks have made walking a strenuous endeavor. Ice fishing season along with other winter recreational activities are benefiting from the prolonged winter weather. Many varieties of birds are visiting the bird feeder everyday.
