A good week for precip; between the snow/slush event and the following rain, we posted 1.84” total catch Sunday to Saturday. This brings February month-to-date catch to 3.94”, which is 106% of PRISM average. We’re still lagging considerably looking at Water Year to date; we’ve received a total of 15.00” against PRISM average of 22.05”, so we’re only at about 68% there. Things still look pretty normal for this time of year. Pond level remains above normal spring/summer height; estimate that pond is now about 80% open water. Bogs remain flooded and ice-covered. Saw an otter out towards the middle of the pond yesterday; still numerous ducks and plenty of terrestrial bird activity.
