A much warmer period saw our snow pack decrease from 12 inches to 5.5 inches.  We saw little snow but some bouts of freezing rain and sleet. I've seen no moose and only a few wild birds; it is almost as though this raw, damp weather is making everything hunker down.  We really need to see this warm spell break down and get back to more normal temps especially as now, thanks to the slightly above freezing daytime temps, there's a thin layer of ice on almost all horizontal surfaces.  Walking can be treacherous and even driving can have its moments.  This is NOT the kind of winter weather I favor!!
