Taken at registered location: True
Notes: Clear sky till about 4:15pm, when it got very dark, and some rain. At 4:43pm the hail started and it was heavy downpour thru to 4:54 p.m. It was pea size the whole time, but in the end, the pieces were either touching or up to 1/2" apart. some light rain continued afterwards, and some almost imperceptible small hail till 5:12pm. I had to stare at the deck boards to see the individual hail pieces hit it and bounce -- Only 2 lightning incidents during the hail storm, but afterwards it got louder and more frequent, till about 5:01pm when it was almost non-stop, and the sky was a lighter grey. At some places the hail stones were piled on top of each other, and other places there was space between them. It remained the same size throughout, although during the last approx. 15 minutes they did seem to be even smaller than rice (as they bounced).
