Every sword has two edges: the Upside of all this rain: not having to lug water to the plants all the time. the downside: the emergence of bacterial wilts and fungal diseases which kill plants (bacterial wilts on asters and beans), or ruin fruit (anthracnose on blueberries and basil). Hard to prevent organically. But it IS a relief to find the soil moist relatively deep in the rhizosphere (8-16 inches down).
