Soil moisture levels remain high. The average moisture reading in my yard was 9.5 out of 10. The Llano River at HWY 87 is flowing at 286 cf/s compared to the 46-year mean of 185 cf/s. The clarity of the river water remains exceptional. It has been observed that algae is growing across the bottom of the river, probably due to the clarity. Vegetation is exhibiting the winter-time normal growth pattern with most of the countryside dormant, but some plants are starting to show growth.
