Description:
This week was another great week for me although very hot and humid. I recorded a total rain fall of 1.39 inches from local storms that at times were heavy but not long lived. The fields look great, my yard has greened up very nicely, and the garden is flying along with tomatoes, green peppers and cucumbers almost ready to start picking. The Japanese Beetles are still around and I am fighting them in my apple trees but they keep coming back. They should start to dye naturally by the start of August but I suspect that they have eaten enough leaves that my apple harvest will be reduced. Once they find a source of food they like they send out a smell that brings other beetles and they just keep coming to feed and breed. Our creeks are all flowing a little high for July but no problem at all. My pond is at the overflow but not flowing out.

Over all these rains have really helped the local crops and if we can get some more in August we should do very well.
